Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: September 6, 2026

Welcome to The Raging Unicorn.

The Raging Unicorn is a home-based micro bakery located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. These Terms & Conditions apply when you use theragingunicorn.com, communicate with us about an order, or purchase products from The Raging Unicorn.

By placing an order with us, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.

1. Home-Prepared Food Disclosure

The Raging Unicorn operates as a low-risk home-prepared food business in accordance with Alberta's Food Regulation and applicable requirements.

Our products are prepared in a home kitchen that is not subject to routine commercial food-establishment inspection.

Alberta permits low-risk foods to be prepared in a home kitchen and sold directly to consumers, subject to applicable food-safety and labelling requirements.

Products sold by The Raging Unicorn are intended for direct sale to the end consumer and are not for resale.

2. Our Products

The Raging Unicorn specializes in small-batch sourdough breads and other low-risk baked goods.

Because we operate under Alberta's low-risk home-prepared food framework, we only offer products that we determine are appropriate for sale within that framework.

Products requiring refrigeration or temperature control for food safety will not be offered as low-risk home-prepared foods.

Our Test Kitchen is always experimenting, but not everything that survives the Test Kitchen automatically makes The Unicorn Lineup. Products will only be offered for sale once we've determined that they're suitable for our business and applicable food-safety requirements.

3. Ingredients & Allergens

Ingredient information is provided with our products as required.

Our home kitchen handles ingredients that may include common food allergens and gluten sources, including:

Wheat and gluten, milk/dairy, eggs, sesame, soy, mustard, peanuts, tree nuts and other ingredients that may cause allergic reactions.

Specific ingredients and allergen information will vary by product. Customers are responsible for reviewing the ingredient and allergen information provided for the product before consuming it.

Canadian food-labelling requirements identify priority allergens and gluten sources that must be appropriately declared when present.

Important Allergy Notice

Although we take reasonable precautions when preparing our products, The Raging Unicorn is not an allergen-free facility.

Because products are prepared in a shared home kitchen, we cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from traces of allergens or cross-contact.

Customers with severe or life-threatening food allergies should not rely on our products as being allergen-free.

If you have questions about the ingredients in a particular product, please contact us before ordering.

4. Handmade Products

Everything we make is produced in small batches.

Sourdough also has a personality of its own.

As a result, the appearance, size, shape, colour, scoring, crumb structure and other characteristics of individual products may vary slightly from photographs shown on our website or social media.

These natural variations are part of a handmade product and do not constitute a defect.

5. Product Availability

Our products are made in limited quantities and availability may change from week to week.

Listing a product on our website does not guarantee that it will be available for every requested date.

Orders are subject to ingredient availability, production capacity and confirmation by The Raging Unicorn.

We reserve the right to limit quantities, temporarily remove products, change our lineup or decline an order where necessary.

6. Prices & Payment

All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.

Prices may change without notice. The price applicable to an order will be the price confirmed when the order is accepted.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered or approved by The Raging Unicorn.

An order is not considered confirmed until any required payment has been received and the order has been accepted by us.

7. Orders

Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact, order and pickup information.

Please review your order carefully before submitting it.

If you discover an error, contact us as soon as possible at: the.raging.unicorn.yyc@gmail.com

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate changes, but changes cannot be guaranteed once production has begun.

8. Cancellations & Refunds

Our products are made in small batches and may be prepared specifically for confirmed orders.

If you need to cancel or change an order, please contact us as soon as possible.

Once preparation of an order has begun, cancellation, modification or refund may not be possible.

If we have to cancel an order that has already been paid for, the amount paid for the cancelled products will be refunded.

If there is a problem with your order, please contact us promptly so we can review the situation and determine an appropriate resolution.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any rights or remedies you may have under applicable consumer-protection legislation

9. Pickup

The Raging Unicorn is a home-based micro bakery, not a retail storefront or dine-in establishment.

Orders must be picked up at the location, date and time communicated with your order unless another arrangement has been specifically confirmed.

Please do not arrive at our home outside your confirmed pickup arrangements.

Alberta's rules for low-risk home-prepared food businesses do not permit onsite dining at the operator's home, although limited sampling is permitted under the regulation.

For privacy and security reasons, we may provide detailed pickup instructions directly to customers rather than publishing them publicly.

10. Missed Pickups

Because baked goods are perishable in quality even when they do not require refrigeration for food safety, customers are responsible for collecting orders during the agreed pickup period.

If you cannot make your pickup time, contact us as soon as possible.

We cannot guarantee the quality or availability of an order that is not collected as arranged.

11. Food Handling After Pickup

Once an order has been picked up or otherwise transferred to the customer, the customer is responsible for appropriate handling, storage and consumption of the product.

Any storage or reheating instructions provided with a product should be followed.

12. Website Information

We try to ensure that product descriptions, prices, photographs and other information on our website are accurate.

Occasionally, however, errors may occur.

We reserve the right to correct typographical errors, inaccurate descriptions, pricing errors or other mistakes and to update website information when necessary.

13. Website Photographs

Unless otherwise indicated, photographs on our website are intended to represent our products and brand.

Because our products are handmade, the product you receive may not look exactly like the example photographed.

Frankly, Audrey doesn't make carbon copies.

14. Intellectual Property

The Raging Unicorn name, branding, logo, original product names, photographs, graphics, website copy and other original content appearing on this website belong to The Raging Unicorn or are used with appropriate permission.

They may not be copied, reproduced, republished, distributed or used for commercial purposes without our written permission.

15. Privacy

Personal information collected through our website or during the ordering process is handled according to our Privacy Policy and applicable Alberta and Canadian privacy legislation.

Please review our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use, protect and disclose personal information.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Raging Unicorn is not responsible for losses arising from improper storage or handling after a product has been transferred to the customer, failure to review disclosed ingredients or allergen information, use of products in a manner inconsistent with provided instructions, or circumstances reasonably beyond our control.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by law.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions as our products, website, ordering processes or legal requirements change.

The current version will be posted on this website with the date it was last updated.

18. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
